3D Printer Technician – Ortho Europe Sheffield

      We are a rapidly growing company and in order to maintain continued growth innovation is required. An opportunity has arisen for a 3D Printer Technician to join us at our manufacturing site based in Sheffield. You will be responsible for the successful setting, operating and inspection of components from the Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing) machines to produce components for the medical industry.

      Daily duties and responsibilities:

      • Handle the day to day operations of a 3d printer.
      • Ensure the 3d printer undergoes regular maintenance checks.
      • Clean down and preparation of the machines before starting a new job.
      • Setting up new jobs.
      • Material change overs, sieving and control.
      • Preventive maintenance
      • Carry out Part post-processing and workshop duties.
      • Co-ordinate leads times and job completion within the wider production team.
      • Carry out other relevant duties as required from time to time.

      Personal Attributes:

      • A computer literate individual.
      • Experience in Additive Manufacturing industry is desirable
      • Sound engineering knowledge desirable.
      • Working to tight deadlines within a dynamic/busy environment.
      • Good understanding of quality requirements & procedures.
      • Hand tool, workshop or model-making skills beneficial, good at working with your hands
      • Works to a high degree of accuracy.
      • The ability to work independently and Collaboratively as part of a team is essential.
      • Th ability to demonstrate energy, drive, commitment and dedication to achieving both own and company success.
      • The ability to adopt and promote an Innovative Continuous Improvement methodology to all activities.
