      Clinician Resource Planner

      Opcare, part of the international healthcare company Ability Matters Group, is one of the largest suppliers of artificial limb and orthotic services to the NHS in England. We aim to deliver a first class service for users whilst applying the most advanced and exciting clinical and technical solutions available to patients. Our company is now looking to recruit a clinician resource planner to oversee and manage the integrated clinician timetable across the Opcare business which covers around 60 different clinical sites.

      The successful candidate would be responsible for the following main functions:

      • Proactively plans and allocates all clinicians nationally for Opcare services
      • Revises schedules as clinical cancellations and/or additions occur and communicates with the appropriate personnel.
      • Communicate with clinical and management teams to execute and direct patient care services.
      • Coordinate with all clinical disciplines to offer optimum patient care by using all resources available.
      • Use multiple systems/applications to schedule clinics such as FindMyShift, REHAPP, IRIS HR Professional
      • Liaise with centre managers and leads to understand need for cover and arrange suitable staff in cases of planned and unplanned absence.
      • Managing and maintaining a central clinical resource model and diary.
      • Working with local centres, ensuring that clinic requirements are known and documented and cover provided is suitable to meet the local needs.
      • Prepare and submit reports on the clinic rota.
      • Liaise with senior management team to understand the required activity levels across clinical sites and model this against staffing levels.
      • Approve annual leave requests, in line with company guidance and local and national clinical needs.
      • Acts as the liaison with the leadership team to determine clinical resource needs. Advises management of personnel resource availability and utilisation and recommends reallocation to meet changing demands.
      • Assures ongoing consistent scheduling and reporting
      • Formulate and maintain the skills matrix for all Clinicians. Identify skills shortages and make recommendations to ensure that we have sufficient resilience to cover holidays and sickness.
