Finance Trainee

      The Ability Matters Group (AMG) is a market leading international healthcare products and services provider, operating primarily in areas that enhance mobility and accessibility including orthotics, prosthetics and wheelchairs. We have in excess of 60 sites across the UK and Ireland, as well as operations in France, The Netherlands and Sweden; employing approximately 700+ staff.

      Job Summary:

      This role is a Hands-on accountancy role, ensuring the financial requirements of the business are completed in a timely and accurate manner, maintaining effective financial controls and legal compliance.

      Key responsibilities:

      Financial Accounting

      • Cash Book / Bank Reconciliations (multi-currency)
      • Control of Bank Direct Debits and Standing Orders
      • Application of Cash to AP and AR
      • Fixed Asset Register

      Management Accounting

      • Assist with monthly management accounts – including Prepayments and Accruals, Stock and WIP
      • Bank Account reconciliation in line with the Balance Sheet
      • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
      • Inter-company cross-charges / Reconciliations
      • ad-hoc analysis and reporting of management accounts
      • Other ad-hoc projects as directed by the Commercial Accountant.

      • Recent Graduate in Finance, Accountancy or Business.
      • Recent completion or working towards AAT, ACCA, ACA or CIMA.
