      The Ability Matters Group (AMG) is a market leading international healthcare products and services provider, operating primarily in areas that enhance mobility and accessibility including orthotics, prosthetics and wheelchairs. We have in excess of 60 sites across the UK and Ireland, as well as operations in France, The Netherlands and Sweden; employing approximately 700+ staff.

      Job Summary:

      The position of Group Financial Accountant is a hands-on role, ensuring the financial requirements of the business are completed in a timely and accurate manner, as well as Ad hoc projects to be completed within agreed timescales.

      There may be occasions when the role will require you to work beyond your contracted hours, in order to meet deadlines, and a positive attitude is required should this arise.

      Key responsibilities:

      • VAT (UK & EU)
      • Cash Forecasting
      • Cash Book / Bank Reconciliations (multi-currency)
      • Control of Bank Direct Debits and Standing Orders
      • Fixed Asset Register
      • Filing Confirmation Statements (Annual Returns)
      • Intrastats
      • Management of Payroll Creditors (PAYE /NI/ Pensions)
      • Deal with Tax Enquiries from Inland Revenue
      • Reconcile Corp Tax movements and Adjustments
      • Y/End Audit – Preparation of audit schedules
      • Y/End Audit – Preparation of Tax schedules
      • Assist with production of Statutory Accounts
      • Assist with Review/reconciliation of Y/End Statutory Accounts for filing
      • Inter-company cross-charges / Reconciliations
      • Ad-hoc Projects

      This role would suit an accountant looking to move from practice in to their first commercial company role
