Based at our site in Bradford, we are looking for a Manufacturing Planning Manager who will be responsible for the smooth running and planning of all orders across multi-site manufacturing. The role involves daily operational responsibility of production planning and co-ordinating orders from point of receipt to production.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks:
Daily management of the planning team, which consist of Orders received until release into manufacturing
Multi-site coordination – liaising with departments and other Ortho Europe manufacturing sites to make sure targets are met
Management of our Bespoke ERP system
Coordinating orders from point of receipt to production
Communicating with other departments to ensure customer needs are met
Planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
Manage and control the production scheduling, producing plans on a Daily basis
Monitor the production processes and adjust schedules as needed. Review and suggest improvements to processes
Responsible for scheduling planned maintenance downtime for all machines
Deliver on-going cost and time effective solutions in relation to data management and analysis to support better decision making
Attend daily production meetings with all relevant departments
Planning and measuring long and short term capacity, highlighting issues where necessary
Maintain solid communication with customer services team with respect to lead times
Monitoring / highlighting where expediting is required in production
Required skills/ attributes:
Essential:
Minimum of 3 Years Proven experience as production planner in a FMCG environment
Ability to plan and problem solve remotely across sites and departments
Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
Experience in ERP or MRP systems
Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems
Good at math and statistics
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication abilities
Technical certifications such as an APICS certification preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
Strong regard for product quality and safety standards
Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
Meticulous and diligent
Able to sit, stand and move around for long hours at a time
A mind-set attuned to continuous improvement
Desirable:
Experience working within the medical devices field with ISO13485 accreditation
Technical certifications such as an APICS certification preferred
Qualifications:
Educated to degree level
