      Rehabilitation Engineer

      We have an exciting opportunity for a Rehabilitation Engineer to join our team in Leicester.

      Job role summary:

      The role holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in assessing patients to ensure treatment is provided based on best practice. The role holder will provide technical expertise to ensure the provision of manual, powered and specialist seating.  They will also use their engineering skills to adjust, maintain and adapt equipment to meet the needs of the service users.

      A key role of the RE is to provide bespoke solutions and modifications to patients that may have significant mobility and postural needs which may not be met by standard prescriptions. They will also be required to regularly develop and update skills and knowledge in manufacturing processes and also design, development and modification of seating systems.

      What experience you will need:

      • Committed to the highest standards of patient care and practice in line with the role holders state registration e.g. RCT
      • Proven experience of working within high performing teams multi-disciplinary.
      • Ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships internally and externally.
      • Established interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrates robust judgements and ability to make sound decisions quickly and effectively in complex situations.
