      Job Summary:

      Delivering the highest standards of technical administration, processing and fulfilling wheelchair service specifications to Opcare patient base accountable for optimising value for money service to organisation.  Ensuring all assigned tasks are delivered efficiently and accurately, also responsible for ensuring systems are up to date and maintained at all times.

      Purpose of the job:

      • Technical administration of Opcare Wheelchair service specifications in alignment with company business objectives and promote company values and behaviours.
      • Optimise Opcare Wheelchair Service fleet and inventory management to deliver a value for money service to current and future contracts.
      • Technical assessment of Opcare Wheelchair service prescriptions, identifying and allocating product to meet patient requirements.
      • Administration of all stock and inventory movement within Leicester Wheelchair Service centre
      • Administration of correct disposal of scrap / unwanted equipment and waste from Leicester Wheelchair Service centre

      Responsibilities & Tasks:

      • Manage / Administer the progression of Wheelchair specifications using Opcare bespoke tool
      • Prioritisation of work based on business KPI’s, contractual obligations and patient needs.
      • Technical assessment of wheelchair prescriptions to fulfil patient requirements
      • Identify chairs from fleet and stock for issue immediately or via recon. Chairs can either be a base model or via prescription – development of product knowledge is essential
      • Identify parts from Opcare Free stock to issue immediately or via recon
      • Identify stock parts from Opcare Stock inventory for immediate issue
      • Liaise with Opcare admin / clinical teams regarding alternative products available and any queries relating to wheelchair specifications / prescriptions
      • Administer goods inwards processes for stock inventory components
      • Administer goods return processes for stock inventory components
      • Complete minor adjustments to chairs, including fitting / removing of peripherals and accessories
      • Correctly dispose of scrap/ unwanted equipment and waste in line with Opcare eco policies.
      • Identification of peripherals and accessories on returned decontaminated chairs, removing parts and cataloguing
      • Demonstrate a positive can do attitude with a mind-set of continuous improvement
      • Demonstrate a strong work ethic
