Due to continued growth and recent acquisitions of new businesses, we are now looking to recruit a Stores Operative in our team in Middlesbrough, Greencare Mobility are a leading supplier to the NHS for manual and Powered Wheelchairs and accessories.
This is a key role which helps to Optimise Wheelchair Service fleet and peripherals to deliver a value for money service to current and future contracts in alignment with company business objectives and promote company values and behaviours.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks:
Refurbishment of fleet and built to prescription manual wheel chairs to quality assurance standards
Following decontamination procedures and the correct disposal of scrap / unwanted equipment both physically
Accurately document all workshop technician activities using Optimum bespoke tool and quality assurance documentation
Maintain accurate records of stock inventory, reconditioned spare parts and consumables used in all workshop technical activities
Identifying all equipment for reuse
Support Wheelchair engineering team (field and in house based)
Demonstrate a positive can-do attitude with a mind-set of continuous improvement
Demonstrate a strong work ethic
To comply with required health and safety standards as outlined by local site policy
Skills & Qualifications:
The position requires the job holder to possess:-
Good understanding of English –Written and Verbal
Technical background
The ability to refurb as per specification to a quality assured standard
A good working knowledge of IT systems including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
Excellent attention to detail
Willingness to learn new processes
Flexible and helpful attitude
Take responsibility for own workload
Physically fit to meet the demands of the job
Technical or Mechanical engineering qualification, educational or vocational (desirable)
Technical background within a Wheelchair Service or Wheelchair Service Approved repairer (desirable)
Experience of working with wheelchair product ranges (desirable)
Understanding of wheelchair mechanics and technical specifications (desirable)
