      This is an exceptional and newly created position for a forward thinking Excel & Data Report Writer to join the business. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering excellence at a time of rapid growth.

      If you have:

      • Strong knowledge of using Excel to perform calculations and obtain data from larger reports
      • Excellent attention to detail with an eye for locating potential outliers in data
      • A desire to learn about the operations of the company and the role of reporting within that
      • Proven problem solving skills, being able to identify approaches to measure specific metrics if not immediately available
      • An ability to respond quickly to the data reporting needs of the company

      There is no requirement that you have held a formal ‘reporting’ role before (thought this would be desirable), BUT excellent Excel skills are an absolute must for the role. Experience with the software Power BI would also be desirable, but not essential.

      THE ROLE:

      We are looking for a strong candidate who is:

      • Skilled in using Excel to organise and acquire data from reports such as:
      • Categorising data using functions such as IF and COUNTIF and combining multiple reports with VLOOKUP/INDEX &MATCH
      • Creating Pivot Tables, both to obtain information and to present in a useful, easy-to-read format
      • Proactive, seeking to identify where data reporting needs can be met more
      • Confident in conveying written information, providing clear and concise summaries of reports
      • Is able to develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimise efficiency and data quality
      • Interpret data and analyse results
      • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
      • Identify, analyse and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
      • A strong team player , able to work with others where necessary to collate information for reports

      The role is based in Abingdon (Oxfordshire). Given the geographically dispersed operations of the Group, occasional travel may be required within the UK.
